Merry Christmas Adam (since Adam came before Eve)!
☀️The Christmas Story
It’s an annual advent activity to argue about which is the greatest Christmas movie. I don’t remember watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” as a kid, but I know a number of people who rank it #1 on the list, and I also enjoyed this recent article on the “Mary Problem” in the plot. But growing up, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was a seasonal must (though not technically a movie)
. In the following clip Linus takes less than 90 seconds to recite the story in Luke 2 explaining what Christmas is all about.
The joy in Christmas comes in celebrating the birth of the Christ for those who repent from their sins and believe in Him. As the angel of the Lord told the shepherds near Bethlehem: “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10–11, ESV)
Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her KingJoy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ—Isaac Watts, “Joy to the World”
