It’s Friday and you are probably flipping out that the Sun is out so early. Enjoy!
☀️A Truth Top Ten
Vivek Ramaswamy is a U.S. Presidential Candidate running to get on the Republican ticket. I know very little about him. This article is not an endorsement of his person or his platform. In fact this isn’t really even about politics, but about truth.
Mr. Ramaswamy shared the following list of ten truths on social media earlier this week and it is currently pinned to the top of his page.
This is a decent list. Some might say it’s based. I like a lot of it, and I like it much more when compared to the belched caca of most of our current coprophagous government Important Persons. Of course as one who professes that Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus is Lord of all, Vivek’s #1 isn’t sufficient (plus, he’s Hindu, making his “God” an idol) (which also brings to mind that John 8:32 and 14:6 challenge #10). That said, it’s something we could work with.
Whoever said it first, they said it well, that if there is no God above the State, the State is God. It might start de facto, but it ends de structo.
It is God, as in the living and true God who revealed Himself in the Bible, who determines #2 in the list, too. “God created man in His own image...male and female He created them.” We once shared this understanding and worked out from there. We once even thought that truth itself existed, to be accepted or rejected but not to be designated as whatever we deemed. Now truth seems as plastic as a Disney princess.
I was thinking about how different schools would be starting with a list like this. State schools are burnt toast crumbs. They will keep sucking more of our taxpayer money, they will keep blaming their ails on lack of money, they will keep spending their money on that which is not bread and their labor for that which does not satisfy, or make actually smarter students. I have no sympathy for the teacher unions and educational bureaucrats and tenured staff who shovel this truthless ordure.
Claiming to be wise, they became clowns. God continues to make their worlds, their campuses, their conferences, their curriculum, a parable of dunces.
If your kids are enrolled in a school committed to ignoring, let alone denying, Vivek’s #1 and #2, you are responsible to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to teach them the truth, and find them good teachers who will do the same (which, see #6).
