☀️The Sun Playing Through
Friday, February 17 - 2023 Week 7
Good Friday morning! The Sun is here to help you get your feet on solid ground for President’s Day weekend.
☀️Catching Up
The Marysville School District levy passed according to the unofficial results on the Snohomish County election results website. The overall voter turnout was just above 25% and the YES votes were just about 57%.
The city of Marysville is inviting non-profit groups to apply for tourism grants (making Marysville a destination!). As the news releases states, the “program aims to increase tourism and encourage overnight visitor stays in Marysville through tourism-related events and projects.” The deadline to apply is February 27.
The city of Marysville also published a Parks and Visitors Guide last year.
Governor Inslee is sticking with his covid vaccine mandate for state employment according to his press conference yesterday. Remember, it’s the “SCIENCE.”
This week the city of Seattle has settled a lawsuit against them for failing to protect private property during the 2020 CHAZ/CHOP debacle. As the saying goes, there’s no such thing as free vandalism, or something like that.
And for a broader, non-political perspective:
☀️Missions Conference
First Baptist Church in Arlington is hosting their annual missions conference this weekend, February 17-19.
