School’s. Out. For. Summer! (For some of us at least.) Start off your break with some Sun.
☀️Drowning in Irony
Even though biblical literacy seems less and less evident among today’s big grand advertisers and platform politicians, one would like to think that the story of Noah’s Ark has survived the flood of ignorance. It’s got rain (which we know so much about in the Pacific Northwest), it’s got animals (which a lot of liberals love better than babies), it’s got mankind holding on to life through nature’s hardest ways, with a pleasant and peaceful rainbow covering Noah’s and his family as the final picture.
That slanted version of the narrative is like saying the Civil War happened in order to provide middle-aged men with a perfect excuse for role-playing games on the weekend.
The flood was not what “Nature” did. God told Noah that He had “determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them.” When Noah finished building the Ark, God burst the fountains of the great deep and opened the windows of heaven, and “rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.” “The waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.” “And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind.” (Read it for yourself in Genesis 6-9.)
The flood was judgment, and the judgment was on the wickedness of man. There was no Bible yet, the Lord had not even given the 10 Commandments to Moses at that point in history, but “every intention of the thoughts of [man’s] heart was only evil continually.” God gave men consciences, with thoughts that accuse or excuse. They may keep secrets from one another, but every heart is open and exposed to God. He knows that they know His law in their hearts. God put the knowledge in there Himself.
After the earth dried out, God established a covenant with Noah and his sons. God said that “never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy all earth.” This is another reason we know that the flood was a global flood, since there have been numerous regional floods since then. And more importantly, it is the reason God hasn’t drowned all the sick and perverted people who keep using the rainbow as their symbol of fag-and-more pride.
The sign of the Noahic Covenant is the rainbow. God said, “When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
A flag of this covenant sign hung above Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers when he pronounced June 2023 as Pride Month in Snohomish County on June 1.
Here is the heading of the Proclamation:
RECOGNIZING JUNE 2023 AS PRIDE MONTH IN SNOHOMISH CUONTY AND CELEBRATING OUR LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, QUEER, QUESTIONING, INTERSEX, ASEXAUL, GENDER NON-CONFORMING, PANSEXUAL, AND 2 SPIRIT (LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY
Mr. Somers knows that “those who practice such things deserve to die,” and yet still “gives approval to those who practice them” (Romans 1:32). And what would have happened if only those kinds of sinners identified in the above Proclamation had entered Noah’s ark? This is hard science that takes a certain kind of teacher to make it hard to understand.
Though the rainbow is a sign of God’s proclaimed and promised patience, a day is coming when He will no longer be patient. Though it won’t be by water, judgment will come in the unquenchable fire of hell. God “commands all people everywhere to repent, because He has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed; and of this He has given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31). The “Man” is Jesus Christ the Lord. There is forgiveness and eternal life for all who believe in Him, but forgiveness and eternal life are found in Him alone. That is the good news for Marysville, Snohomish County, and everywhere rainbows are seen on earth.

☀️Friday Fun
Just because it’s summer break doesn’t mean you can’t learn more math.
Okay, that may not be impressive math, but this is impressive art.

This is one reason why Tucker Carlson could talk so confidently about cultural “taboos” even though we are now accountable for all that God has revealed in His Word.
